Cesspool Treatment

(1999 - 2003) When I was in high school I encountered Don in the hall way and he had told me about his "doodie-core" band and invited me to a practice. At the practice it was Don on guitar and vocals and this fellow Jack who is now my good friend playing on plastic buckets and vocals. Most of the songs were about feces and it was a very immature joke band. Their first tape before I joined the band was called "May Cause Cancer". I helped them write a few songs and eventually they let me in the band, so they switched Jack to just vocals and me on plastic buckets. When I joined the band it got even more careless and was more improvisation than written songs. We would record a new tape every time we practiced that consisted of mostly songs about poo and making fun of retarded kids at school. Eventually we moved up from plastic buckets to 2 metal garbage cans, one with a double bass drum pedal hooked up to it and the other I used as a snare drum with all real cymbols around it (mostly cracked and shitty) and a real hi-hat. Eventually we started writting real songs and Before our first performance I switched from garbage cans to a using a real drum-kit but it was only a bass drum, a snare drum, and many cymbols. The band took a break in 2001 untill we met Bill and he became our bassist. We switched jack from vocals to second guitar and recruited Danthrax on vocals as our new singer. Our songs remained of a silly nature but were no longer feces-oriented. We split up in 2003 after either Bill or Danthrax stole a lottery scratch-off ticket from Jack's house worth 50 dollars. It was one of them but neither would rat the other one out so after they were both kicked out, we tried to write songs as a 3-piece again but the magic just wasn't there anymore and it couldn't be done. It was already so far away from what it started as that it was just time to give up. I'd say that in Cesspool Treatment's existence we played about 50 shows. An almost-complete discography is supposed to come out one day if we can ever find all the recordings. No one has seen Bill in years and it is believed that he is either dead or in jail. In 2007, Danthrax and I formed Obnoxious Gas. In late 2009, Don and I attempted to get Cesspool Treatment back together again but it failed, resulting in us starting a new, better band called Bleach Eater.
